According to a post I saw on MSN:
Burnt meat might be a secret love of yours, but there’s good reason to give that up as fast as an engagement on The Bachelor. “Meat that has been cooked to a ‘blackened’ status is very inflammatory to the body,” St. John explaines. “Inflammation may actually break down collagen levels in the skin, leading to an aged appearance,” she continues.
I was also distressed to see that sausage and bacon offer a lot of inflammatory elements as well! The oxidation is rampant, according to the article called: 20 Foods That Will Age You 20 Years".
Since aging is largely oxidation and depletion of key nutrients and elements, the article is important.
In addition to avoiding the wrong foods like certain meats, sugar, fatty foods, and fast foods, I would recommend that serious age conscious consumers add some of the following supplements to their routines!
Acetyl L Choline, Acetyl L Carnitine, Amino Acids, Acidophilus, Phosphatydil Serine,
a good Multi, A good Multi Mineral, Vitamin C, B complex, D3, E, K, and others.
For those of you that are suffering from various disorders, e.g., thyroid, gastro-intestinal,
and others, get a prescribed list of supplements from a qualified nutritionist or physician.
Remember, we cannot possibly get all our nutrients from our diets. We must supplement to meet our required needs and if you are over stressed, an athlete, or have other demanding situations, you need more nutrients and elements.
